Daily Products Interaction Captured in a ‘Shape of Gestures’

‘Shape of Gesture’ is an experimental design created by Siyu Lou, which attempts to capture the casual gestures used in our daily life, and combine them with the interaction of products. When we try to catch an object, at the moment our brains begin to think how to use our fingers, our hands have already found a comfortable way to grasp it. Hands think faster than brains.

This experience resulted in three products (a wireless-speaker, a humidfier and a table lamp) designed with the guidance of the gesture modules to visualize the potential of the gesture interaction.
