Apple’s event, “Hi, Speed”, on the 13th October was another incredible show, as it usually is. Without further explanaitions, this is a simple recap of the products released with details on each one.
HomePod Mini

There is no better description of the HomePod Mini as Apple’s own description: “HomePod mini takes up almost no space yet delivers room‑filling sound. HomePod is a breakthrough speaker with high‑fidelity audio that adapts to its location. Both help you take care of everyday tasks with Siri, control your smart home, set up multiroom audio, and send Intercom messages to every room. HomePod and HomePod mini keep everything private and secure, and only listen for “Hey Siri.””
This Little device just got even smarter this time around. It now behaves as it is aware of what surrounds it, giving the impression of being physically connected to the other devices. If you have two HopePods in the same room, “they’ll intelligently become a stereo pair” to give you the best sound experience possible. Also, the “HomePod Mini will understand when your iPhone is nearby. You’ll get visual, auto and haptic effects”. It can also recognize different voices in the household and can broadcast audio messages through the entire house, CarPaly and other Apple devices you own. And this model is the cheappest do far at a cost range of 99US$.
iPhone 12

The arrival of 5G was the start of the iPhone release show. 5G is now on the iPhone with a lot of improvements, including super fast speeds, and more advanced privacy and security giving that you “won’t need to connect to public hotspots”.
Now to the actual iPhone 12. Flat edges are back, with a light aluminum frame and improved glass, now 4 times more resistant to drop damage. It is “11% thinner, 15% smaller and 16% lighter. With the new look comes also a new and smaller form factor available in the five colors: black, white, product red, green, blue.
Now onto the cameras. This model features a “Dual-camera system with ultra wide 12MP camera, plus new 12MP wide camera with f/1.6 aperture” with improved low-light performance. The wireless charging also saw some overall experience improvements with “MagSafe for iPhone”. The whole mechanism is far superior, allowing better charging, which Apple also took advantage and managed to create a new ecosystem of magnetic cases to snap to the iPhone using the powerful magnet (and some other fancy wireless chargers).
One more huge deal is the fact that you will no longer get your charger when you get your iPhone, as it only comes with a single lightning cable. It is supposed to “cut 2 million metric tones or carbon emissions annually” giving the box got smaller and so “one shipping pallet can hold up to 70% more products”. All this in addition to the fact that they will surely reduce the production of such products reducing also that waste.
iPhone 12 Mini

It has the “same features as iPhone 12, only difference is screen size. Smallest, thinnest, lightest 5G phone in the world”.
iPhone 12 Pro

Now back to the BIG DEAL. The design is pretty much the same as the standard iPhone 12 but with a Three-Camera setup. This model features premium materials like stainless steel band and precision-milled back glass and is available in silver, graphite, gold and pacific blue. It is a “beast” when it comes to performance, Super Retina XDR screen with 2778×1284 pixels resolution and great constrast ratios.
The “new” telephoto camera also features optical zoom in 2.5x and as a whole, as the iPhone 12 model already featured, this one has increased low-light performance and image stabilization sensors. There are also a few new additions like the ProRAW or the ability to film in Dolby Vision HDR that will prove more and more useful to professional photographers and film-makers.
Ah, and I guess we will have League of Legends on iPhone as well.
