This century-old house renovation into a minimalist masterpiece is the work of the japanese architect Uoya Shigenori. He wiped out the townhouse in Kyoto to create these amazing calm interiors.
The goal was to preserve the house’s original structure but managing a minimalist retreat in the inside of it, celebrating the history of the space. “Preserving and highlighting the house’s imperfectly aged beauty is the backbone of our design philosophy,” said Maana Homes. Take a look at the pictures we’ve selected and gaze at the carefully selected materials, and light management by this great architect.
