There’s a New S(h)erif in Town

Televisions don’t often invest a whole lot in inovating on its design. A simple black plan with some fancy feet shoulkd do the trick, the only thing that matters is the screen quality, right? Well, that’s not all, and Samsung knows it.

This is the Serif, the 2020 version, cleverly named after the typography and lettering term “serif”. Its design, shaped as the letter “I” with serifs, makes it stand out and be the spotlight of a room. It is not a thing from another world, we like it simply because it breakes the mold, goes a bit further than any other TV design we’ve seen.

It is a piece not to “watch through” but to “watch to”. “From its iconic and portable design to its brilliantly crisp, QLED picture, The Serif is a statement centerpiece that not only redefines the way we watch TV—but also the way we view how TV fits into our lives.”
